New Book Takes Careful Look at Biblical Signs of Rapture
One of the most controversial subjects of Christiandom, with both believers and skeptics, concerns the Rapture or “taking up” of believers. While many evangelists, authors and others try to set timelines or introduce new theories, the new book The Rapture —When You See All These Things takes a careful, studied approach to the signs the Bible clearly indicates will appear before the event. After over 35 years of intense study on the subject, author H.R. Shick points out the book is entirely his opinion and encourages readers to do their own research and investigation. To aid in that quest, Shick provides examples of misguided interpretation, gives tips on the proper use of discernment, offers a full index of biblical topics to examine and features charts to assist in the understanding of key events. Shick holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Princeton University and a Master of Divinity from Talbot Theological Seminary. He is an ordained minister and has planted churches in California and New Jersey.
