Do you feel stuck and trapped in your life? Live with a haunting sense of defeat? Does life feel like an uphill climb without a summit in view? Dr. Bruce Wood addresses these questions and many more in his new book, Rising Up To Meet the Challenges of Life, and reminds us that we are not alone in our struggles.

Wood points out that the key to rising up to meet challenges is faith in the living God. This book will be your road map to victory as you learn to apply Biblical principles in difficult times. As you begin to activate your faith and take positive steps to grow, you will overcome, face the challenges and be victorious. "Thanks be to God. He gives us the victory through Jesus Christ our Lord" (I Corinthians 15:57).

Dr. Bruce Wood has been a United Methodist pastor for forty-one years and served six congregations. He has helped hundreds of people navigate the treacherous storms of life through his preaching, personal care, leadership and support. Following high school, he attended Texas A&M University and earned a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture. He then attended Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. His Doctor of Ministry degree is from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He is married to his childhood sweetheart, Connie Plummer Wood, and they have four children and six grandchildren. Through his personal journey and assisting others to rise up and face the challenges of life, he has learned anybody can live victoriously with a Christ-centered perspective in all of life.
