New Children’s Book Carries Themes of Prohibition

Author Martha Wolfe takes the complexity of the prohibition and condenses it into the new children’s book, The Little Seed. This simple children’s book carries a much more complicated underlying message about prohibition and man’s inability to control God’s creations. Wolfe’s inspiration came in the form of the court battle between the Lakota Nation and the U.S. government, as the government invaded the Lakota’s land and destroyed the crops, their source of economic advancement. The next season, the crops not only grew back, but also multiplied. Readers will get carried away on this short adventure about what happens when man tries to cut down a determined plant. This simple, yet revolutionary story tests man’s ability to control beings and resources.

The Little Seed is available in softcover (ISBN 978-1-62137-488-6) and ebook format (ISBN 978-1- 62137-489-3) from Virtualbookworm.com, Amazon.com, and Barnesandnoble.com. This book can also be ordered from most bookstores around the United States and United Kingdom. More information can be found at the author’s official website, littleseedbook.com.
