I wish, when younger, that I had listened more carefully when my relatives talked about the "Olden Days." Most of the stories were not recorded. Of course, "back then" I never thought I would become a writer! It wasn't until my Creative Writing professor gave me an A+ on a humorous article, referred me to staff, and I became a reporter for the college newspaper. Years went by; I wrote a few poems for friends, party themes, even a couple of murder mystery dinner skits. As I approached retirement, I knew I wanted to write a book. My first book was a comical cookbook complete with cartoons and puns! After retirement I worked on assignment for a tourist magazine for a few seasons. That provided me with many interesting activities such as kayaking among the Apostle Islands, experiencing a new, wild water park ride, visiting a zoo, a wildlife park and staying at many nice resorts throughout Wisconsin. Also, I penned a humorous column for a local Northwoods newspaper. I then branched off to ghost story books with interesting experiences in "haunted" hotels, lighthouses, restaurants, schools, wineries etc.
This book is somewhat different. As a widow I have encountered many women who have led interesting lives. I decided to feature some of them in this book. We are all older now, and this is my STORY TO TELL!
