ABOUT THE AUTHOR
John S. Meade is the author of City of Champions. Born and raised in Brockton, Massachusetts, and a proud graduate of Brockton High School, he earned his bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Massachusetts Boston in 1984. Deeply connected to the sport’s history, he also published the nationally acclaimed monthly newsletter, “Inside Boxing.” He completed the one-year program at New Hope School of Ministries in 2009.

In addition to City of Champions, Mr. Meade is the author of two previous books, Split Decision and Nobody’s Investment. An avid cyclist, he can be seen riding his bicycle on a daily basis throughout the area. He currently lives in Naples, Florida, where he is hard at work on his next book.
