Life is a journey for all of us but sometimes our forward movement gets interrupted by circumstances we can barely comprehend. In this slender volume of poetry, the author moves us from her first diagnosis of cancer through layers of healing to a rebirth of health, inner joy, gratitude and renewal. Her poems reveal an inner being that travels through disbelief and fear to acceptance and celebration. In a prose Afterword, she tells a little more about her journey through two separate cancers between 2002 and 2007. She also leaves the reader with some practical information which has helped her in her own recovery and survival.
