December 22, 2012 and we’re still here. Thanks to an invincible woman named Angel and an immortal man named Yeshua and their friends – human, divine, and other. Fire and Spirit is about holy mysteries in everyday places and the relationships they ignite. Seven churchwomen become spiritual warriors in the global battle for our very souls. But this isn’t your Mama’s church or your Daddy’s jealous God. Javiera, a transwoman cuarandera, heals wounded souls. Honey listens with her divinin’ ear. Daisy sees through her visionary eye. Ofira vibrates to the stars, rocks, and crystals. Tara wields the authority of a woman pope. Ursula understands animals, and Angel fights to become the Invincible Arrow she was born to be. She is the lynchpin who will either tame or inflame the holy fires to come. The impending fiery immersion may bring death and destruction or real peace on Earth. Kitchen Sink Theology Book 1. No sex, F-bombs, or brutal psychopathic sickos. A feast for body, mind, soul, and spirit. Taste and see that we are good!
"A book of hope, in this time of uncertainty and apparent destruction it encourages us to face change and our fears together in courage. I promised myself only two chapters a night but just a wee peak into the third kept me turning pages. Firmly based in Christianity, it blends concerns for the earth with guidance from other traditions showing our interrelatedness and co-dependence with all creation. A must read on the top of your list."
-- Gail Ostensen, fellow traveler on the Way.
"Jane packed in a lot of information, tantalizing leads and openings. She provides a model, too, for people to follow if they have nudgings or are fearful of stepping off their known path. Bravo!" --Carolyn Pogue, author of Rock of Ages: The oldest known rock on Earth, and then some, www.carolynpogue.ca
