ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Ben's Binoculars was inspired by my love of travel and fascination with all of creation. All my life I have been a part of a family that travels. I moved from the West Coast of the United States to South America at the age of five years old, and was deeply affected by the culture and people as well as the beauty of the jungles, mountains, and waterfalls there.
Later in my life I lived on the East Coast and the Deep South in the United States before going to college in Southern Appalachia. In college, I spent time living in Europe, learning more about life in different parts of the world.
Later I married and began teaching elementary, middle, and high school before becoming a full-time college professor in the Midwest of the United States. Over the past decade, my family has traveled to the Gulf Coast many times, where we fell in love with the beauty and warmth of both the climate and the people. My wife and I decided to settle on the Alabama Gulf Coast in the last few years, and we find it a fascinating and wondrous place to raise our two children.
