Herb Thomas's new book "Have Faith in the Good" takes us on a profound journey from his birthplace in Canada, to his many years as a psychiatrist in prisons in Michigan and Pennsylvania, his work as a Park Avenue therapist in New York City, his travels to Tuscany, Jerusalem and other parts of Israel. The "spiritual companions" that he has met along the way and describes in the book help to reveal what the ancient Celtic people described as the "thin places" otherworldly experiences where "close encounters of the spiritual kind" happen. Believing that all of us have been touched by similar "encounters," Doc Thomas helps us get in touch with those nearer to The Holy Presence.
"This book is beautifully written from the heart and soul of a mentor and friend who has influenced more lives than could be possibly counted, and I hope that you will enjoy reading every chapter of this remarkable and inspiring journey." -Dr. George B. Wirth Senior Pastor, First Presbyterian Church, Atlanta, Georgia
