Virtualbookworm.com Publishing is pleased to announce the Virtualbookworm Return Program: a new, innovative program designed to help authors work more successfully with "brick and mortar" bookstores. Below is a summary outlining what this exciting program provides to you, the author, once participation has started.

Finally, "true" publishing assistance brought to you by Virtualbookworm Publishing and Springboard Logistics Services LLC.

What you'll receive once you enroll:

  1. Within approximately 20 days upon completion of your book or date of enrollment in the program for a previously published title, it will be listed as "returnable" to every bookstore that purchases books from Ingram Book Company, the worldwide leading book wholesaler.
  2. Your title will appear as returnable for a period of 12 months from the publication date (or date of enrollment in the program for a previously published title). It is important to note if you are paying in advance of your release date, the 12-month period will not begin until your book has been published and is available for purchase.
  3. Renewal option - You will be notified 3 months prior to the expiration of your returns contract for a renewal option.
  4. Virtualbookworm Publishing and Springboard Logistics will make every commercially reasonable effort to have books listed as returnable with other wholesalers such as Baker & Taylor, Koen and Bookazine.
  5. First rights to your book - As the author of your book you will be granted first rights to purchase your book at a greatly discounted price should they be returned. The process is simple. Once a return is received, a representative of Springboard Logistics will contact you to ask if you would like to purchase your book. The discount will vary depending on the retail price of your book. Also, if you would like to have your book mailed to a reviewer, or as a gift to someone, Springboard will save you the time and money by simply mailing the book directly to an address of your choice!
  6. Special options - Springboard will make available special storage options to any author enrolled in this program, upon approval of Virtualbookworm Publishing. We will make available to the author warehouse space for special programs, such as storage or direct mail campaigns. These special options are available only to Virtualbookworm authors enrolled in the "program". It should be pointed out that not all special options are included in the base fee and approval of said programs will need to be approved by Virtualbookworm. For questions about special options at Springboard Logistics, feel free to contact David Muskett directly at 972-335-7040.
  7. Privacy - Springboard Logistics respects the privacy of all Virtualbookworm authors. It is our pledge to you and Virtualbookworm that your privacy will be held with the utmost confidentiality. Your information will not be rented, sold, re-distributed in any manner or medium. Furthermore, unless directed by Virtualbookworm, we will limit our contact with you to contract expiration notification and book purchase options. Springboard Logistics encourages you to call should questions arise. Please don't hesitate to contact us at 972-335-7040.
  8. Disclaimer - While it is the belief of both Virtualbookworm Publishing and Springboard Logistics that the "program" will greatly enhance your chances selling your book to bookstores, this is by no means a guarantee of book sales. We wish you the best of luck in this exciting new program!
  9. If, for any reason, either Virtualbookworm Publishing or Springboard determines your book is not eligible to participate in the Program, your sole recourse will be to receive a refund of your payment with respect to the Program. In all other respects, you fully release Virtualbookworm Publishing from any responsibility or liability associated with the Program. This includes any actions or omissions on the part of Springboard or other third parties.
